Brampton Village Primary School 'Child-Care'

Updated 27th March

As we look forward to next week and beyond I wanted to write to all those who have used the school child-care this week as well as those who have booked for next week. I would like to thank you for all you are doing at this time - we are pleased to be able to support you in your role as a Key Worker.

So far 47 different children have used the school and more are booked on for next week. The hours remain at 8.45am – 3.15pm and we are working to put staff teams in place. This is proving more challenging as time goes on as either staff become unwell themselves or have to self-isolate because they are with those who are more vulnerable. Please help us to give the places to the children of key/critical workers who have no other child care options. Please do not put your child/family/household at further risk by using the school unless absolutely necessary. Children are safer at home in a situation where their social interaction/contact is limited.

You may be aware that after Tuesday 31st March Brampton Kids Club will not be opening until further notice. This may have an impact on you as we are currently unable to offer care outside of the hours stated above. If you need contact details of a childminder please let me know as I am in communication with Officers from the Local Authority in order to see what support might be available.

I know that needs may change as the spread and impact of the virus heightens and that this will impact shift patterns for many. We are planning ahead as we have been asked to make provision for the children of Key Workers during the Easter break. As soon as we have more details about this I will let you know.

Please can we ask that all bookings are made through our online booking system as this enables us to plan the staff rota and will ensure that we have the right support in place. Parents of children in Brambles will need to email to book a place.

If there are any problems with this, or any other issues, please email as this is monitored more frequently than the other school email address at the moment.

Thank you to everyone who has arranged alternative provision meaning that the school can support the children of those keyworkers whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response.
