Brampton Village Primary’s policy for R.E. is in line with the Cambridgeshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education 2018.
During their time at Brampton the children will acquire and develop a knowledge and understanding of Christianity and the other principal religions and world views represented in the U.K. They will develop an understanding of the influence of beliefs, values and traditions on individuals and communities, while developing attitudes of respect towards other people who hold views and beliefs different to their own and the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious issues.
Throughout the R.E. curriculum pupils will be encouraged to explore the different religions, engage with their knowledge, and reflect on their learning to understand their world, community and develop their personal views.
