About us...

Brambles Pre-School has been part of Brampton Village Primary School since 2008 and we moved into purpose-built accommodation in 2015.  Ofsted recently recognised that:
Brambles pre-school has integrated well since it joined your school...the team have a good understanding of the needs of individual children before they start their full-time education.' (2017)
We are very much part of the school and our children  ‘buddy’ with the older children to take part in joint activities.  We make regular visits and sometimes join in Assemblies which means that transition is not too daunting when the time comes for children to move into Reception and therefore they settle quickly and happily, and make good progress.
The pre-school accommodation is  well equipped.  Your child's safety is our priority and entry to both the school and the pre-school is controlled by keypad. We offer a stimulating and caring environment for all children where they can be themselves and flourish!

We offer a minimum of 24 morning places from 9:00am – 11:30am and a minimum of 24 afternoon places from 12:30pm – 3:00pm each weekday i.e. Monday to Friday. A lunch session is  also offered between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm where we use the school hall. Together, these sessions enable us to provide at least 30 hours of pre-school education to which pre-school children are entitled under the Early Years Funding voucher scheme.

You are able to choose up to a maximum of 30 ‘Early Years Funded’ hours; should you wish, you are able to spread your sessions between Brambles Pre-school and other childcare or nursery education providers. Please inform us if this is the case as part of the EYFS we need to work in partnership with other providers where a child shares its time.

Parents in Partnership – Supporting Children’s Learning

There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the work of the pre-school and to gain a greater understanding of the ways in which they can support their child’s learning. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer helper at pre-school, please contact a member of staff.

Regular parent newsletters, information sheets and opportunities to share children’s learning help keep parents up to date with events and the curriculum.

We also encourage parents to come and join us in helping to celebrate with the children customs and traditions from their home. Please let us know if you would like to share these occasions with us.
